Just got back from the first "official" Japanese study group of the summer.  A girl that was in the 1st year of the Japanese class decided that a summer study group would be cool, and she was right.  We didn't study as much as we expected, however, because the conversations quickly turned to anime, Japanese culture, etc.  That was cool too, though.  We have made a little bit of an agenda for the next session (next week), so maybe the studying will go a little smoother.  Perhaps "practicing" is a better word.  After all, the point is to engage in conversation using what we already know, which implies little studying and more practice.  I had a really good time though.  There is talk of movie/anime night too, which is always cool with me.
