Going to the Opera!

Tonight, I'll be going to see the Evansville Philharmonic's production of Carmen. It's about a woman of loose morals that works at a cigarette factory, and subscribes to a gypsy lifestyle. She flirts with all the men, and one in particular falls for her hard. Well, after realizing that she no longer has any interest in him, he decides to kill her. Should be full of sexy Spanish music, which is ironic since the opera was written (and will be performed) in French. Of course there will be English supertitles at the top of the stage. Cheapest tickets are $16, unless you are a full-time student with student ID, in which case RUSH tickets will be $10 at the door. Show is being performed at The Victory Theater and starts at 7:30pm, and if you go, dress nice!

New Shoes!

Today was a cool day, because Kristina didn't have to work this morning, so we got to hang out today. We went to Dick Blick and bought some foamboard, then ate at McDonald's Diner on Green River Road. Afterwards, we snuck over to Shoe Carnival where I bought a new pair of solid black suede Vans, AND ... drum roll please ... I bought Kristina a super awesome pair of Dr. Martens. I picked them out and asked her to try them on, and she liked them immediately, so I had to buy them for her. They're a shoe style rather than the old school boots. Took a nap, went to class, multiplied 3-variable matrices, ate leftover pizza, wrote this entry.

Work Over... for a while

<blatant self-promotion>
My last day at Bristol Myers was last Friday. I'm officially in the job market again, although I'm not looking to start for a week or so (big project to finish for Operating Systems). Basically, I'm looking for work that pays at least $8+/hour and has flexible scheduling. Other than that, I'm fair game. I have management experience in rental, retail, and food industries.

Check out this funniness, and tell me if you see the irony in this SPAM message (I bolded the ironic parts):
