I also made a new theme... I'm debating on whether or not to use it. Tell me what you think about it. I think tonight while Kristina is at work, I'll write a Javascript routine to randomly choose a theme when somebody loads the page.
This morning, I received 3 calls for substitute positions. First ... French at Reitz. Second ... AEA (In-school suspension) at North. Finally ... Social Studies at North. The teacher's name is Kohlmeyer. I don't think I've met him before, but everyone is really nice about helping out the subs, so it should be a smooth day. It's kind of weird, but I'm starting to like the fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants approach to subbing. Even though I turn down 2 jobs, I STILL get calls for work ... the same day! I can be picky if I want to be. Well, I had better finish getting ready.

I just remembered, here is a photo of the Rice Crispie treats that Billy made:

For those that do not know, the logo on the Rice Crispie treats is from "Quake III Arena", a computer game we played after school a few times. If you're one of my students (past or present), post a "Hello!" below on the comment for this message!
I'm substituting for an English Literature teacher today. I have to have them read a short play aloud. The title of the play is: "I Never Sang for My Father". It's a depressing play really, and I can't help but think that is an accurate representation of the hardship that comes with age. There is a great deal of conflict amongst family members, and it all boils down to one thing. Somebody gets old, and what should you do with them? Given the recent series of events that have happened to me, it really has me wondering. I know what I should be doing ... which is focusing on the present, but sometimes I can't help but wo(nder/rry). Well, I had better get ready for my next class (this is a planning period). I'll be eating lunch with my sweetie at noon, I can't wait! ^_^

Oh yeah, I almost forgot... I'll have to ask Brian why he never called me for lunch.
Today, I'm here at North again. This time I'm actually substituting for the same teacher that I covered for before. Unfortunately, she's had a bad string of luck lately. She recently had a family member pass away (as did I), and now she's come down with a flu of sorts. I'm glad that I got the job because I already know all the students, and everything will go smoothly. There won't be any awkward times when I'm unsure about what I'm supposed to do. Of course, I make it sound like it's horrible to sub for other people, but it isn't. It's just better to sub for familiar classes. This Thursday will be my last Java workshop, and with any luck, it'll be paytime! I think I'm gonna eat lunch here at school today. It's cheaper, and I won't have to waste my time finding a place to go. Too bad my students don't update their blogs more often. I'll probably remove the student blog links, since they rarely update. Of course today, I'll probably prod some of them to update again soon.
