OK so I lied. I'm actually posting this using my voice again. The funny part is that it actually takes longer to post this way. right now I'm just demonstrating what a super geek I am. Well for damn near $150.00 I should get something amazing out of the deal. I'm trying to get more finished on the blog project but I'm kind of stuck at the moment. it's not a major roadblock but it is a problem, I should have it fixed within a couple more days. Sorry about the delay it was unavoidable.

Yesterday I purchased office 2003. It has the amazing ability to let you speak into a microphone and convert the words into text. This entire post has been written by me talking into the microphone. it's not perfect but I found out some tricks that make it a little easier to use. It's getting really late now and I need to sleep. I probably won't be posting this way again, although it is fun to play with. This post has been edited from its previous version, although I still did the entire post using nothing but my voice.

Yesterday, I worked on my uncle Tom's computer in Newburgh. It's a nice P4 system that he bought 2 years ago, and like many of the PCs I dare to fix, it fell prey to one of the numerous KaZaA viruses. This particular virus knocked out the TCP/IP stack, which for SOME reason cannot be easily uninstalled (in order to reinstall it) on Windows XP. This is a problem. I was hoping to miraculously fix the internet connection by uninstalling and then reinstalling TCP/IP, which would have allowed me to run HouseCall on it. For those who haven't tried it out, please do, it is a great and free virus scanner that is up-to-date given that it resides on the web. Sometimes, it may not be able to remove a virus, but at least you'll know what's up, and removal instructions are usually included. Another great program for those that may not have tried it before: Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware is awesome, because it finds spyware files on your system and removes them. Did you know that even a fresh untainted Windows XP install has spyware? It's true, the Media Player reports information about what you listen to and view. Worth a look, especially since it's free too.

I liked all my classes, especially Survey-Calculus. That guy is really funny and entertaining. I think this is going to be a good semester, although it's a little weird because I feel like I'm the oldest person in all of my classes.
