today. On Monday June 1, I ordered a DVD from Amazon in Japan. They sent it that day (from Tokyo) and I literally had it on June 2. How's that for service? I did pay for faster shipping, but DAMN! If anyone cares, it was the Japanese version of the 1979 classic film by Hayao Miyazaki: Castle of Cagliostro, featuring our favorite: Lupin III! It is the only DVD version containing the original American dubbed voices. Unfortunately, Manga Video decided to re-dub this movie when they re-released it a few years ago, and the new actors weren't bad, but they lacked the spirit of the original. Did anybody else know that the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus is in town? I saw it on the community calendar this morning. I always wondered if that was better than our silly Hadi Shrine circus (too kiddie for me). Gotta go to class soon, so take care!
