Eyes Burning

My eyes are still stinging from playing pool... err, from being around people who smoke while playing pool. It was a family outing really, which is unusual. My uncle Danny's cousin (my 2nd cousin), named David, has a pool table and lives kinda close. His garage is decked out like a seedy bar, only without the drunk customers. It was a lot of fun, even with music such as Kid Rock, AC/DC, and Creed playing. We played many games of 8-ball, 9-ball, and cutthroat which is a new game for me. Attending were: 2nd Cousin David, Uncle Dan, his son Daniel, my brother Matt, and of course yours truly. Also, make sure to visit my new photo album entitled "Mundane Miscellany". I will be posting bizarre pictures again, and with any luck you will find them amusing. If you enjoy any of the pictures, please let me know!
Pictures Now Available

I finally uploaded the 12 pictures from the trip last weekend. Today, I gave Guss my resume and times I'm available for an interview; unfortunately, he gave me the good news with the bad. The good news is that his mom wants to interview me, the bad news is that there isn't a position open yet, which means I might be waiting a while for a job that may or may not open. So, I guess I'm still officially looking for work. Also, Ryan remembered to bring me a memory card for my digital camera... now I have a whopping 64MB card for my 3.1 megapixel camera (191 pictures!). Dr. Phil pissed me off today. He invited (or at least hosted) some war protesters onto his show today. He pulled his classic "pretend he's on their side in the beginning, only to turn around and make them a mockery for his salivating audience" act today. It pissed me off, because he always pretends to be on all sides of an issue, even when he's not. Bastard.

Career?

Before school today, a former student came up and asked if I was looking for a good job. He said his mom (Vice President of Uniseal, I believe) was looking for some people that were computer savvy and asked if I was looking for work. I'm supposed to setup an interview whenever is convenient, which luckily for me is anytime. This turn of events may change, quite literally, everything. *fingers crossed*

Back from Trip!

Well, the weekend has finally concluded and we feel vacated (heehee). Below is a summary of the weekend's events, and pictures will be uploaded as soon as I can get them ready.

Friday:
Kristina came home from work and we jumped in the car and left. Stopped at Denny's Diner way out by Hwy 64. Took about an hour to order, eat, pay and leave. I swore it would throw the time schedule way off, but it didn't. Then, rain poured on us by the gallons. Semis made it impossible to see in the dark 65 mph speeds we were travelling with the opaque mists shooting from their enormous water-ejecting tires. Right before Cincinnati (as per usual), there was a major highway catastrophe. This is common. We were stopped or barely creeping for approximately 30-45 minutes. Evidently, a semi had overturned, exploded, and 50 police officers were needed to standby and gawk at said tragedy. They were almost like the borg, the event required all of these men and women with one mind to stare. Anyway, we made it to Erlanger and checked into our hotel. This funny desk clerk girl with a pierced eyebrow, doo rag, etc. really liked Kristina's Hello Kitty sweatshirt and proudly told us that she may actually "crap herself now." It was good fun. Afterwards, we called and arrived at Andrew's house even though he hadn't made it in yet. Laura was there, so we caught up with her and the dogs. The dogs are really adorable. Andrew came in at about 1:00am with Taco Bell food for everyone. I think he may have fallen asleep while he was eating. He has lately been working 70 hour weeks. Finally, we decided we should head out so that poor Andrew could sleep peacefully.

Saturday:
Kristina and I were up and moving at around 11am. Laura hadn't called yet, and we were getting hungry and anxious. This prompted our visit to the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell restaurant. We both ordered personal pizza combos. I began to freeze, which inadvertently led us to a Family Dollar where we discovered we could purchase a nice girl's fleece shirt for $4. I was happy, because the shirt is unisex in appearance and most importantly...warm. We also bought a 2-liter for $1. After this brief excursion, we found ourselves at the Brenner household again. Only this time we armed ourselves with Laura and proceeded to tour the city. Stopping at Wendy's first, so that Laura would not have to give us a tour of Erlanger on an empty stomach, we made fun of N'Sync getting into a minivan. Well, it wasn't really N'Sync, but it sure was funny to think so. Then, we stopped at an outdoor mall where we looked for Hello Kitty products, but instead of finding Sanrio goods, we found ourselves at DSW Shoe Warehouse. At first, Laura and I provoked Kristina to try on a bunch of really bizarre shoes like denim platform sneakers (ew!) and other silly ones. Then, getting the short end of the stick, I was forced to try on about a hundred or so ridiculous pairs of men's shoes. These are obviously shoes beyond their time, as no actual practicing biological man would ever, and I mean ever wear _these_ things. In the end, Kristina bought me a new pair of Airwalks for $29. I was happy. Next in the queue, a brief but intoxicating visit to the BMW/MINI dealership, where we ogled some super badass Minis. They were completely decked out with the racing gear too, these were nice Cooper S models. Next, if memory serves me correctly, we stopped at a mall or two. Laura had to pick up a birthday present for her friend Matt, who plays bagpipes and whines about women, evidently. We stopped at Suncoast for this purpose, and Kristina bought the 2nd volume of Cowboy Bebop on DVD along with the new issue of Newtype. We also decided that it would be good to catch up with Andrew eventually, as it turns out, he was parked on the other side of the mall! Lucky bonus extra! We decided to find someplace to eat, which took approximately 10 hours or so, well not really, closer to 2 hours I guess... We eventually stopped at a place called Mountain Jack's, where after being told the wait will be 30-40 minutes, we decided to leave. Now, we found ourselves at Applebee's. The wait was the same, but at least we knew what we were getting into, and we had the pleasure of talking to this really funny hostess. We talked about customers, bribery used to move names up the list, etc. She told us all about how when people have affairs, they go to Applebee's. She said she had dirt on half the town. The food and service were excellent. After dinner, we went back to the mall to retrieve Andrew's car. But since he was falling asleep the whole time (I think he's becoming narcoleptic), I decided to drive him back. Mysteriously though, he was wide awake and talkative once we got into his car. We were now heading home, where we played DDR, laughed insanely, played with their dogs, and witnessed Laura's renditions of Happy Birthday which were to be played to Matt the following day. We got tired and went back to the hotel.

Sunday: (Tim Style)
Continental breakfast. Checked out. Destination: Brenner's. Donato's Pizza. Meatsa Supreme. Chicken Medley. Tasted great. UFO House. Devou Park. Satanic House. Cold protesters. Photos taken. Drive Home.
