Bridal Shower Today

Today is Kristina's Bridal Shower and so far, it seems that my dad's side of the family is really proactive for the wedding. My grandma, 2 or 3 aunts, and mom will be going which for some reason is just weird for me to think about. Kind of a clash between different worlds. I'm sure it'll work out alright. Part of me wishes I could go, but this is her day and meant for the ladies. Besides, if she shared any embarrassing stories about me, I'd die from ... well, embarrassment.

Okay, so this one isn't very funny, but I guess it was late and I'm really anal about typos. Here it is.

New AIM ScreenName

Because of AIM's total crap policies, I had to spend literally 90 minutes trying to come up with a name that has never been used. At one point, I think I hit the keyboard producing "ajughah" and even it was taken. I thought it was a cruel joke. But to make things interesting, I did a screengrab of an actual window during the process. Comments, as always, are welcome.

Unemployment on the Forefront

Today, I received my denial letter for the AEA Supervisor position at North. The more I thought about it, the less it bothered me. I was just hoping that I'd be lucky enough to have something lined up immediately after my Bristol Myers job. I forgot to write Paul an e-mail, so I'm doing that right now. Since I've already enrolled for fall, my schedule is pretty inflexible, as I can only work until about 3pm on the weekdays. Looks like I might be part-timing it, in the sense that I'll have to work here and there.

Screwed Up Blog Settings

Oh yeah, the reason my last post didn't show up sooner is because Evansville Online changed their FTP settings. Therefore, I was unable to publish because it thought that my directory no longer existed. Oh well, it's fixed now.

What's this? A post?

Well, I've been a naughty not-updating-my-blog-monkey as of late. So I'm here with a pathetic attempt at redeeming myself. I hung out with Tim on Sunday, it was great. He loaned me Shaolin Soccer, which I had the privilege of watching tonight... funny stuff, very funny. I only have one class left for the summer, and that's on Thursday. After that, I'm done until September! *whew* Also, we went to the movies with Angel and Ryan on Sunday, and watched League of Extraordinary Gentlemen... or as Ryan told the ticket-selling guy: "League of Extra Hairy Men." That boy cracks me up sometimes. I didn't really care for LoEG much, but everyone else in the group found it to be quite good. I've spent several dead-on-my-ass-tired evenings playing guitar again. Tenacious D to be more specific. Their music is just too damned... how do the French say?... catchy. Not to sound like an old person by boring you with my health problems, but I've felt really yucky lately. Food sounds terrible, always. My kidneys hurt, I have headaches, and I sweat like a circus freak for no apparent reason. There, hopefully that's out of my system for a while. I bumped into Paul at Taco Bell today. He's a cool guy that used to hang out at the Abyss (RIP) with Doug. He's a Network Engineer for Cinergy Communications, and after I e-mail him in 30 seconds, he's supposed to e-mail some job openings to me. The school hasn't called yet, and I don't want to miss any opportunities, so I'll be applying there as well. Hopefully it will yield something productive. My 4 Fall classes are going to be: Operating Systems, English Comp 202, College Algebra, and Intro to Music. Only 1 computer class! Weird... Well, I gotta mail Paul and go to bed. Hopefully I can post more now that my classes will be over for a while. Stay tuned, and keep visiting. For a while, I thought my counter was broken... it seemed to be stuck on the same number... haha! Byee!
