Air conditioning in the van is fixed (and has been for several days), this is good and bad news. The good news is, of course, that the van is much cooler now. The bad news, however, is that the bill was over $900. The other good news is that Kristina's parents picked up the tab on that (thankfully).

In more good news, I am off for the next 3 days. I plan on attending Brian Bates' commencement ceremony at Roberts Stadium tomorrow (May 25). I still have class in the mornings, of course, but his graduation is later in the evening. I was a little disappointed that I only received one invitation from my former students (aka The Crazy Guys), oh well, I remember my graduation... I finished high school in January, and then when commencement happened, I was driving in my car not far from the Reitz bowl where the rest of my class was graduating, so I stopped by and watched from the chain-link fence at the top of the bowl long enough to hear them skip over my name, and then quietly slipped away unnoticed. I think I cried in the car as I left, but perhaps I'm waxing poetic now. I do remember feeling really sad though that I didn't get to sit with my friends and goof off and joke one last time before we received our diplomas.

Tonight I bumped into another former student of mine named Chris Hall. He was a good guy, misunderstood by most, but the odd thing is that I think my early high school days were probably a lot like his. Of course I didn't get sent to the office as much (or ever for that matter). haha! If you read this Chris, don't take it personally. I gave him my e-mail address and phone number, and told him if he ever needed a reference for a job to put me down.

In the next few days, I plan on writing a little program that will take my work schedule and post it on my blog. That way people can stop in and say hello or know when I'm available for other things. It'll be a grand program.
