Today we started debugging assembly code for the Motorola MC68HC12 microcontroller. It was very cool. My lab partner had never used a debugger before, so I got to help him out. This class is turning out to be way cooler than I expected. If I'm lucky, I'll learn enough to create an MP3 decoder from a box of parts. I guess technically it shouldn't be THAT hard, but I would still have to write the software for it, and our development kit is strictly assembly language. Previous classes had used a C/C++ kit, but we're (un)lucky enough to work directly with the hardware. Oh yeah, wife bought a laptop last night.

My wife graduated from college yesterday, and we had a little get-together to celebrate. It was good fun, and I think we're looking forward to a better-planned cookout next time. My finals are done, so this semester is technically at an end. My grades will probably be a little lower than I'd like, as I had a difficult time finding the time and motivation to complete a few assignments. But, now that the semester has ended, I'll have newfound energy and motivation to help me through the summer classes which begin next Tuesday. I've already started reading some of the books that I'll be using in my Philosophy class, and that doesn't start until June 11. On the other hand, I still need to purchase my books for the class that begins on Tuesday. I've met a few interesting and funny people this semester, which is really cool. Today, I'm working at BBUY from 2:00-7:00, so that'll be some money in the bank. Well, it's late and I'm tired, goodnight.
