I'm an English teacher today, Ms. Austin to be exact. She teaches freshman and sophomore English classes. I was supposed to watch the AEA students (in-school suspension) for this 30-minute block of time, but they cancelled AEA today. I'll be at Reitz on Thursday and Friday, subbing for 2 different people in the business department. Should be fun (if they don't cancel school due to all the snow). Later!

Bored? Do you feel like you could be doing something creative or constructive with your time, but maybe you're having a hard time deciding what? Does anybody out there ever get those strange creative impulses of energy where you just feel like you have to do something? Alright already, what I'm getting at is this... as we speak, I'm having some concept drawings drafted for my dream. My dream is the ultimate fan(boy/girl)'s dream, to create the great all-American video game. Now, let me get the disclaimers out of the way first:

  1. This is real work, and as such is not intended for people who do NOT work hard, like working with a team, following orders, or grudging forward past the road blocks that definitely lie ahead.
  2. There will be a project manager, which means this is actual work where tasks are assigned and expected to be completed.
  3. For now, this is considered a freelance project/hobby, and NO MONEY will be exchanging hands. [REPEAT: You will not be working for pay, this is a volunteer project.]
  4. If and only if the project really takes off, there is a very real possibility of turning this game into a commercial product, at which point everyone involved will see some money.
  5. The worst that could happen is that you will learn a great deal about game development... DARN!
If you are interested, in 2 or 3 paragraphs tell me about your creative impulse, a drive to succeed, or a personal insight into why you are a good candidate for this project. I look forward to hearing from you, and with any luck, working with you.
This is the picture definition of frustration. And yes... I lost immediately after this screenshot. ^_^

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and everything was fine... except for some ridiculous things my grandma said. First off, when my cousin Daniel told her that I was bringing my Playstation-2, she said (and I quote), "That's fine, as long as he doesn't hook it up to the TV." Secondly, when we realized there weren't enough places to sit down and eat, we asked if we could sit at the dining room table, to which she replied, "No, your aunt Tammy just cleaned the carpet." At this point, I thought surely the worst was over. Thirdly, after hooking up the Playstation-2 to the TV and starting a game up, she said, "Don't lean (or sit) on that, it's the GUEST bed. You'll get the sheets wrinkled." Aghhh! It was truly frustrating, and the thing that ticked me off over everything else... after NOT sitting at the dining room table and having to share chairs with people (2 people on 1 chair), my barely older cousin Michael comes over with his wife and asks to eat at the table... and she replied, "Sure! Go right ahead and have a seat!" Other than that, food was good! I played Gauntlet: Dark Legacy with my cousin Daniel all weekend. We're almost finished with the game now.
