Chances are that I'm teaching at this very moment. I got the job, and start tomorrow (today by the time you probably read this). I'll be gone from 7:00am - ~4:00pm and would love to go out and do something tonight. Please give me a call or leave a message, I'm sure I'll have a few stories to share. I'm probably going to start a new blog for the 2.5 months that I'll be teaching. The Comment feature doesn't seem to be working, so I'll look into it when I have more time. Wish me luck!
Update about Substitute Teaching

Here's some grittier details about the possible position. It's 5 classes per day (!): 2 Visual Basic & 3 Keyboarding. The position will run through until early November (over 2 months)! The reason it is a possible position is because the lady I keep talking to says she has to get it approved. I'm under the impression that there is a substitute in place that doesn't know VB, and they'd like to change that. I have talked to North's Business Department head several times daily since she first called. One thing is for sure, they want me in this position. The person who conducts background checks and processes substitute-teacher applications will be gone until Tuesday, which may impede the progress of the whole ordeal. With any luck, things will somehow be expedited. Watched some more Lupin III tonight, very nice indeed. An invisible force keeps beckoning me into the kitchen... could it be?! Yes, it's the Denny's Cherry Cheesecake with Whipped Cream that I purchased earlier tonight! Must r e s i s t ... a l l t e m p t a t i o n t o g o r g e m y s e l f . . .

An amazing thing happened today. I received a call from the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation. It turns out that they need somebody to substitute teach a Visual Basic programming course. The position is at North High School, and the regular teacher is on maternity leave. I'm preparing to drive down to the EVSC now for the paperwork needed to enroll in the substitute teaching program. I'm very excited but extremely nervous at the same time. Any words of encouragement?
UPDATE about 'Dude Lady' and the 'Wal-Mart Affair Couple':

A customer overheard me telling another associate (employee) about 'Dude Lady' getting fired. She piped up and said, "Yeah, I used to work with her. She is horrible, she tried to sue the company for discrimination." She seems like the type to do that. I never posted about the Wal-Mart Affair couple, because details were a bit shady, but I know enough to tell a fragment of the story. There was a couple that was fired for having a relationship that violated Wal-Mart's fraternization policy. (Why do they call it fraternization, when frater is the Latin word for brother? If you have an answer, comment below.) Back to the story... The lady (I'm guessing in her late 20s or early 30s) was immediately called back to work for employment. The man was fired, and nobody seems to even know much about him. In order to violate the policy, one of the two people must be in a position of power over the other individual. This could potentially cause a lawsuit (sexual harrassment/discrimination) should a conflict of interest occur. He somehow had a connection with her position, so he was canned. I'll post more when I learn it.
Just posted the new survey. I thought long and hard about the choices, and finally concluded that those would be the best answers. Please only vote once! Remember, all answers are completely anonymous. I think I'm going to leave this one up for a while, because I'm genuinely curious about the results. If anybody would like to submit ideas for a survey, just drop me a line, or post it here in the comments. I now have 2 days off, so if anybody would like some company, I'd love to hang out.

Item of interest today... Fiat 500 Giardinera. Even though it isn't the same type of Fiat 500 I'd like, this is one seriously beautiful car. Kate take note: it has suicide doors. I was disappointed to see that my last post didn't strike anybody's interest, so I'm going to tone it down. I'm going to add a work schedule to the blog, I just have to think of a pretty way to do it. It might be done by tonight. Gotta go soon so I can eat lunch with Kristina at Target. Did I ever mention that I'm crazy about that girl?
