I had an idea today... Time for another big get-together. I'm thinking for entertainment, Dance Dance Revolution and anime. I've always wanted to have a shindig like that, but I don't know how my friends feel about anime and dancing... ^_^ It should be fun, as long as it doesn't take any arm-twisting. I'm going to start planning it, and get a feel for who is interested. Updates at 11:00.
Today, fate decided that I could have one day without the world going to shit on me. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please read posts from the last few days. Hell, even Blogger wasn't working right, which explains the delay in my last post. I need to get to bed now, but I'm sure something horrific or awful will happen to me tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Fate kicked me while I was down last night. My punishment for getting my car fixed up like new and enjoying a nice fireworks display with my girlfriend was coming back to my parked car, only to find my car stereo had been stolen (it was a cheap $40 stereo for Christ's sake) along with my new MP3 player, and most upsetting of all... a very special They Might Be Giants MP3 disc that had been in the making for many months (many hard to find, limited releases, which were available for one time only). They ripped out my Air Conditioning/Heater control panel, they pulled plastic out from around my instrument panel, and left a nice present for me... an empty bottle of Coor's Light. Now my car's electrical system is messed up, and there are new problems to fix on the car. I was too numb to cry.

Oops, how could I forget the Beelzebub-inspired haiku of July 3rd (working title):

Fuckity Fuck Fuck
You cock-smokin' piece of shit
What the mother fuck
Hell is what today was. It would be too difficult to summarize ALL of the evil that took place today, so in its place I offer you these true-to-life accounts of actual events which DID in fact occur on this day. I put Kristina's dad in his place, which was the only redeeming aspect of today's events. Kristina's family is down to 1 working vehicle from a possible 3. My car's belt had to wait. Although things got hairy, I did manage to get a hydraulic jack and a pair of jack stands today.

Today's random act of kindness:

Kristina took me to Bigfoot on Fulton Avenue to get something to drink. I grabbed 2 chocolate Yoohoos and her Cherry Coke and put them on the counter. After I paid for all 3 drinks, I asked the cashier if he'd ever had Yoohoo before, to which he replied, "No." Then I asked if he liked chocolate or chocolate milk, which he said he did, so I gave him the 15.5 oz $1.29 Chocolate Yoohoo. I'm sure he thought I was deranged, but he accepted without a struggle. I hope he appreciates what a fine drink that Yoohoo is. Maybe he'll reflect back on this hellish day, and think: "Ah yes, that July 3rd was a most excellent day." Or not.

Today was my first day back at work. It was kind of nice, because everyone heard what happened, and I really felt like everyone cared about me. They all asked how I was feeling, and nobody seemed skeptical or angry about my missed days. Evidently, another belt has broken on my Volkswagen. Well, I have 3 days off, so I should have plenty of time to fix it myself. Today's events have inspired the following haiku:

squealing from nowhere
why did you have to break, belt?
i want to scream now

I dropped my idea of a Software Development House on Doug today. He really took to the idea, and I hope this thing flies. It will be a slow-start process, to be sure, but I'll keep updates listed here. I saw "Mr. Deeds" today, and although not the best Adam Sandler flick out there, it has some great moments. I recommend a matinee viewing. And now for today's anime-inspired haiku:

robots and cute girls
best action ever produced
comedy is great

And now for today's spur-of-the-moment haiku:

hello cute kitty
rolled over on your backside
i'll rub your belly

Inspired by my 2 cats Shiro and Yurei, obviously.
Went to Deaconess Hospital today... and luckily, I just have some muscle strain in my upper-back and neck. Lucky in the sense that my spine didn't snap or shatter. ^_^ I have some stuff I've been meaning to sell on eBay, like: a brand new Clerks DVD, Blue Seed Vol. 1 DVD, some Playstation strategy guides, several Nintendo systems, a Coleco Vision, etc. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow before I pick up Kristina from work. Speaking of work, I found myself wondering why I don't own my own software development house. As outlandish as it sounds, it would take no startup capital whatsoever, only some people with talent to contribute. The other day, I made a list of friends and people that I know with strong talents. The list was quite large, and everyone had something very valuable to offer a software company. Now, if only I had the money to pay and recruit them with...
