Hey, everybody! Just thought I'd take a moment to spread the word about They Might Be Giants new album called The Spine. It hits shelves on July 13, and if you haven't given them your ears' undivided attention, head on over to their website and download some free MP3s. How many groups out there love their fans enough to give away free songs?

Now if you didn't already know, they recently won a grammy for their theme song to Malcolm in the Middle called You're not the Boss of Me. Other works you may recognize include: theme song to The Daily Show, opening theme from Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and some Tiny Toons music videos for the classics Particle Man and Istanbul (Not Constantinople). They created a musical titled People Are Wrong, and a children's album titled No!. If you're already a fan of TMBG, you can join their newest fan-involvement project, the Street Team! Check out the new cover for their upcoming album:

NOTE: If you're new to TMBG, make sure you listen to at least 5-6 songs before making up your mind about them. Their style is so diverse, that you might miss out on their clever style by passing judgment too soon on a particular song. Here is a list of several VERY different songs:
  • S-E-X-X-Y
  • Exquisite Dead Guy
  • I've Got a Fang
  • Istanbul (Not Constantinople)
  • Ana Ng
  • Racist Friend
  • I Can Hear You
  • Hotel Detective
  • Mr. Xcitement
